Slow opening after installation of Norton Anti-Virus

Ever since installing the latest Professional Edition of Norton Anti
Virus. Outlook sometimes takes minutes to open. I would say that this
occurs about once every 5 times I open the program. Any ideas?

Many thanks for any suggestions as to how to solve this problem.
