Slow opening of an e-mail

Alejandro Santana

In some occasions it can take almost a minute to open an e-mail. I can se
that the network card is working thoroughly while the processor is almost
idle. After the card stops sending an receiving information (the two
computer icon in the taskbar does not illuminate), the e-mail is opened.
During that time, Outlook is unresponsive.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you,

Alejandro

A lot of problems can be fixed by: Help - Detect and
Repair. If that doesn't work, re-create the profile. Copy
any address books or PST files to a different location and
remove them from the original location. Then, create a new
profile. The files are usually located in C:\Documents and
settings\username\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook.

It is Outlook XP
About Outlook shows: Microsoft Outlook 2002 (10.4712.4219)SP-2

The thing is that this does not happen always. And when it happens if I
restart the computer it gets fixed for some time.

Thank you
