Slow performance previewing messages w/ attachments

Has anyone ever seen Outlook hang for 40 seconds when previewing messages
with attachments?

I am attempting to troubleshoot, but not finding much luck. The size of the
file does not seem to matter, whether the file is 30kb or 2mb. I have
attempted to re-install Outlook and still no luck. Whenever you select a
message with an attachment, it takes 40 seconds to show the text of the
message in the preview pane.

Also, working online vs. offline does not make a difference as well.

Any thoughts?
