Slow Response Time when switching from Mail to Address Book

Why is it that I have about a 10 second delay when switching from mail
to the address book in Entourage X? From the time I hit the Address
Book Icon it takes 10 seconds for the search box to appear. It seems
to work fine switching back and forth after the first 10 second delay.

Your address book is probably sorted by a column that is not indexed by
Entourage. Try clicking on the Name field to sort by name and see if this
clears it up.
