SLOW switching to Calendar

I am using a PowerBook 1.677GHz w/2GB RAM and OS X 10.5.1 Entourage 2008 takes 40-60 seconds to go from the mail window to the calendar window or to change calendars. Any suggestions?

I am running Entourage 2008 on an iMac 2.16GHz with 3Gb RAM and OS X 10.5.1 and am experiencing the same problem.

I had the same problem.
What I did was archive the database to the desktop, create a new
identity, import the archived database into the new identity, and
bingo, everything works.
You do lose your categories and some other formatting, but all of your
data should be there.
There will be a folder in your sidebar folder list that will have all
of your imported data in it.
You have to then just transfer the data into your new folders.
Try creating a new identity first and using it to make sure the
calendar and everything functions as it should.
If that works, archive your old identity and import it and you should
be good.
