We have a couple of employees who use Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac at
the office and at home that are having a horrific time getting things
up and running. Whether they are connected at home or at the office
it takes forever for mail to finally sync in their mailboxes/folders.
One of them has left everything running overnight and its fine in the
morning when they return. However, during the middle of the day you
will see that it says that it is sync deleted items and then its
pretty much downhill from there. Literally we have watched it take
hours on end to update deleted items, then it will hit sent items
(break out the popcorn then), and follow up with the other folders.
None of the PC users have this issue -- even when they run in Cached
Mode. Are there any settings that we are missing -- server side or
client -- that might have gotten overlooked? Besides the slowness,
everything else is working without an issue. Thanks for any
