slowing down and page refreshing

I am now using Pub 2002 and opening documents created in
2000 and even 98. It seems that as I work on the same
document, the computer slows down and the screen actually
slowly refreshes sometimes "group by group" making it slow
to work on these things. I have tried copying parts into
a new document but sometimes have trouble getting this to
work also. I have reinstalled and performed fix on
Pulbisher. Does anyone have any ideas. System is 1.6ghz,
at least 32 or 64mg of video, plenty of memory. ???

In addition to David's question:

1. Be sure you save the Publisher 98/2000 file as a 2002 file before working
on it.
2. Be sure you are running the latest service pack for Microsoft Publisher,
which is SP2 available for download at www.microsoft.com/office/publisher
