SMTP error with Entourage on Mac

Hi,

I am having an error sending emails out using Entourage. I use an SMTP
address provided by BT, and am sending out email using my own domain
name.

The account works completely fine on Outlook on a PC, but on Entourage
on a Mac it fails to send outgoing messages, saying that the SMTP
server would not accept Entourage's authentication.

I have not used a port number or the SSL setting. I can only think that
Entourage has some default setting somewhere that the SMTP server
doesn't like, or that this is an ongoing bug with Entourage.

Any ideas???

Can you post your settings (masking the real values, please)?

Receiving Mail --
Account ID (string with dummy account and domain)
POP server (IP or canonical name, dummied, of course)

Any advanced receiving settings

Sending Mail --
SMTP server (IP or canonical name, dummied, of course)

Any advanced sending settings

Lastly, are you using (on the PC) Outlook with an Exchange server or
are you using Outlook Express (and BT's SMTP server)?

Hey guys im having the same problem.

Seems that i recieve mail from my .mac exchange sever but i
cant send emails to any other exchange server other than MSN. I use
Bellsouth.net to send and obviously .mac servers to recieve.Please help
me out guys i really want to get this working
