Snap Connectors to middle of grouped shapes

I have two shapes that I've grouped together (one above another). I want the
group to function so that connectors snap to the middle of the grouped
shapes. Right now, the connectors snap to the middle of the bottom shape.

Add a connection point to the middle of the grouped shape.
Assuming you know about editing the shape and editing the master
shape's shapesheet ..
select the group shape and open the shapesheet
add section Connection Points
set the X and Y to width/2 and height/2

Just tried it - it works.
