Snapping to...

M

MCH Policy

I remember, from JHS, that the little jumpy movements that register on the
rulers when you move a line or other picture around, is called the "snap to"
function. But I'd like to move a line up a tiny fraction--less than the 1/8
inch minimum on the ruler. But I also prefer not to change my rulers to
reflect centimeters rather than inches. (Am I crazy, or was that once called
the "snap to" function?)

There is grid spacing interval and then the
toggle to snap to the grid.

You can access both settings through
Draw=>Grid on the Drawing toolbar.
You can fine tune spacing without
changing the setting
by holding down the alt key while moving the graphic
with the keyboard arrow keys or your mouse.
