I am an experienced PowerPoint user and I have been using PowerPoint 2007
since the end of January. I can't recall having this problem until recently
and it has me baffled.
If I insert a graphic and then select one of the Picture Styles that has a
soft shadow, or even if I just set the shadow through the Picture
Effects/Shadow menu, it looks great in the PowerPoint edit window but
whenever I open the saved file in another copy of PowerPoint 2007 or even on
the same system with the PowerPoint Viewer 2007 the shadows are solid and not
soft. It doesn't matter what file format I save it in the problem is still
there. I can open the file back up in PowerPoint 2007 and it is just fine.
Thinking there might be something wrong with my WindowsXP setup, I created a
new partition, installed WinXP and Office 2007 and Viewer 2007 and it still
is happening, on a clean install with little else installed.
Anyone have any help for me???
