Software Key Problems....

I keep having problems with Entourage. Under OS10.2.8 and Panther,
Entourage will quit at startup, or some time into it claiming that another
computer is using this software key, which is impossible!


I have talked with Microsoft Tech support and loaded several updates. They
claim there there has to be another user with the same software key. I
broke the seal on the box myself, loaded it on only 1 computer, and have had
everything in a locked cabinet since. I even walked around to the other OSX
Macs and run their remove office app. Nothing.

I read someone else had this problem with his copy which has unlimited
licenses...

Does anyone know how to fix this???

Just some thoughts....

Are you using Airport? Perhaps a neighbor is sharing.

Try disconnecting from your network and see if it happens.

If Office allows you to install the upgrades with your key then it's not
been pirated.

Try running Entourage from a different User. (create a test user in System
Preferences) This will eliminate problems in your User folder.
