Software update

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: pop

I downloaded the last recommended upgrade (SP1), and after I finished the instalation, I can not use the software, it starts asking if I would like to be part of some sort of survey, and then it goes again to the Microsoft autoupdate, and I can not use any software of the Office package.
What shall I do?

This sounds like the registration process. Registration is not even
required. See this page for help with the update errors. You might need to
re-install. Read "Dos and Don'ts for a good install"

BTW, SP1 (12.1.0) has been followed by two additional updates: 12.1.1 and
12.1.2. It's always best to upgrade to the latest updater.
