I have a large excel workbook (~40MB) with significant amounts of
macros embedded in it for which I use Solver to calculate a yield
periodically. The problem is that nearly every time I use Solver
(about 80-90% of the time) the workbook crashes 1-2 minutes after
solver is finished even if I dont even touch the file. It never
crashes immediately when Solver finishes and never crashes any other
time other than shortly after using Solver to find a solution.
I have tested running solver both via VBA (how it was originally
implemented in this model) and by simply using the menus to open and
start the Sovler add in. Both methods seem to generate the same same
crash.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Solver add-in and I have
tried the file on a number of different computers all of which have the
same eventual crash and now I am out new thoughts
I am working in Windows XP Pro SP2 using Excel 2003 SP2.
Any suggestions about what could be causing the probelm or get aroudn
the problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
