some emails from exchange not downloading

I am using Entourage 2008 (12.1.2) on 10.5.5. On my exchange account
at work, I have a main folder and a number of subfolders. With my
laptop at work, everything is working fine. At home, on Monday, I
stopped receiving emails from exchange going into my main folder. The
emails going into the subfolders are still being received. I have
tried repairing, rebuilding, and compacting the database. I have also
tried deleting a number of emails from my main folder. The other email
accounts I have (gmail, hotmail) work without problems.

I have tried creating an Apple Mail account with the same settings,
and it works fine as well.

HELP! I'm in the middle of setting up a major conference with over 200
participants, and I'm afraid when I'm at home that I will miss an
important email.

This one has me stumped. Any suggestions?

Try Control-Clicking your Inbox in the folder list and choosing
Folder Properties > Empty Cache.
