Some messages disappeared!- can you import just SOME?

Hi- newbie here. I am on a G5, running 10.4.2. I use Entourage 10.1.6.
Something really weird happened: A folder of messages just
disappeared. I keep all messages sorted into folders. Somehow "poof"
one folder just disappeared (as if I had deleted it...but I didn't)
I did a back-up of the main indentity folder about a month ago (shows
why you should back-up more often). The question is: can I "import"
just that folder, i.e., just those messages, from the back-up database?
I don't want to "import" the whole database, because I will then lose
all messages from the past month.
Please advise. Thank you, David Corwin

Sure, this can be done. First, make sure the folder that's missing isn't a
subfolder of some other folder. Hold down the "Option" key, and
double-click the disclosure triangle next to "On My Computer" in the Folder
List. If you find the missing folder, drag it onto "On My Computer", and
double-click the disclosure triangle again. It now should appear in the
Folder List.

If it really is gone, rename the backup main identity folder to "Backup
Identity". Move it or copy it into the "/Users/<Your
User>/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office X Identities" folder. Then, go
to Entourage, and go to Entourage > Switch Identity. Double-click your
"Backup Identity" in the list. Drag the missing folder to the Desktop to
save it as an MBOX file. Now, go to Entourage > Switch Identity.
Double-click your "Main Identity" in the list. Drag the MBOX file onto the
Folder List to import it.
