Sometimes e-mail quotation marks appear as tiny numbers

This may or may not be specifically an Entourage problem, but this
doesn't happen with Mac mail. This happens with some groups I'm in.
Quotation marks in incoming e-mails sometimes appear as tiny numbers!
These are usually e-mails I send in plain text that get converted to
HTML somewhere along the line!

Sorry if this is covered somewhere but I didn't know what to search
for except "tiny numbers" and nothing came up with that. This happens
now with Office 2004 and it happened before with Office X.

Thanks!

First of all, don't use smart quotes. Go to Tools > AutoCorrect, click the
"AutoFormat" tab, and under "Replace as you type:", uncheck "Straight quotes
with smart quotes".

If you still see the problem when people reply to your messages, simply go
to Format > Character Set > Western European (Windows) when you have the
message open.
