Hi there...
Occasionally (3 times in the last 2 days) Outlook 2003 refuses to download specific perfectly reasonably sized emails - it works through them painfully slowly (around 20 minutes for a few kilobytes), then gives up right before the end.
The only way I can sort things out is by using Outlook Express on an older, Windows 98 machine - it can download the messages without any problem. This fixes things until the next offending email comes along.
I'm not sure if the problem is with settings in Outlook 2003, Windows XP Professional, my mail provider or me, since I cannot use Outlook Express on my new machine to do the same job.
I would attribute it to particularly evil junk emails, but Outlook Express copes with them and they don't appear to do any horrendous damage.
Very very many thanks for any suggestions.
