Is there an easy way (even third party software) to sync two computers'
Entourage (namely the calendar) together? I have a PowerMac G5 and a
PowerBook G4, both are on a wireless network and both are bluetooth...
HELP!

When I tried to copy the database over directly, I get a database in
use error... When I used terminal to kill all of the microsoft
processes so that I can do this, the end result was a wiped out
database on my laptop (the destination machine)..

Thanks all!

Hi Sam

As far as I can see, the way to do this without using an Exchange Server
(corporate) is to go to "File/Export..." and select only the "Calendar
events" to archive.

Then transfer the archive file to the other computer and use "File/Import
....".

Since I have only one Mac I haven't tried it. If you do, let us know how it
goes.

If you have Entourage 2004 on both machines, you could add calendar events
to a project in Project Center and then share the project (File > Share a
Project). You could then subscribe to that project (File > Subscribe to a
Project) on the other machine over the wireless network to see those events
on the calendar.

Otherwise, check out Paul Berkowitz's "Export-Import Entourage" script
package. Its Read Me includes information on synchronizing data between two
computers running Entourage.
