Sort by mixed up - Entourage 2008

Hi,

In Entourage 2008, I have a folder of archived emails and click the column
'received by' to sort in date order. I'm getting the dates all mixed up, so
2004 emails are immediately next to 2009 ones.

What could be the issue here, please? Why are they not in order?

Received could indicate when you imported them into the database. Sort by
Sent instead.
