Sorting Tasks by reminders doesn't seem to work. I assume the would be in
order by date but they are not in an particular order. Is this a bug or
what?

It just sorts into two groups: with reminders, and without reminders. No
bug. _Within_ each group, there's no sorting, so the tasks appear in the
order you created them in, probably (by ID). Not very useful, but not a bug
either.

I recommend you just sort by due date. Since recurring tasks slough off
completed occurrences as separate tasks, the due date of a recurring task is
always the _next_ occurrence - the next one that's incomplete. That's pretty
useful. If you're accustomed to making lots of "No due date" tasks, I'd
suggest giving them due dates, even if you might change the due date later
on. Keep the reminders in some relation to the due date - then sorting by
due date will come pretty close to sorting by reminder, except you'll get
all the tasks for the same date at the same time, irrespective of the exact
times of the reminders (again probably in creation order).
