Sorting Address Book

My supervisor recently synced his contacts from his Palm Tunsten E. The
contacts in the address book are not in alphabetical order. Clicking on the
Name Tab does not help. The Arrange By selection under View is grayed out.
How can we sort these contacts? Why is it grayed out?

Names in the address book are displayed in 'first name - last name" order,
even though they are sorted by last name - this can give rise to some
confusion. Can you check to see if this is the case>

If so, I have a script that will copy 'last name, first name' to one of
entourage's custom fields, so you can show that column in an address book
listing for less confusion.
