sorting contacts

My contacts are sorted on last name however when sending
new email when I click on the "to" button my adderss book
view is sorted alphabetically on the email address. How
do I change this view to sort by last name? Thanks

Post your Outlook version when you post questions. I've never seen a version
that sorts on the email address. Most have the option to sort by First Name
or the File As... field.
