sorting in entourage

When I had Outlook, I could sort contacts in 3 tiers. I mainly sorted
entries by creating a category in 'company', like 'Website' or
'Personal' or 'Lawyers." Then I gave every contact a name under 'file
as' and let that second-order-sort alphabetically. Accordingly, if I
wanted to find a friend under the company name 'Personal,' the friend
would be listed alphabetically. Piece of cake.

Under Entourage, this doesn't seem possible. I can sort under company,
but that's the end of it. If I want to find that friend under
'Personal,' I have to scan all the contacts in that 'company.' I
emailed a Microsoft advisor, and that person agreed there was no
second-order sort possible, let alone a third-order. I find it hard
(but not impossible) to believe that's the case. Anybody know better?

In the upper right side of the contacts window there is a popup with "Name
contains". Change this to "Category is" and select category you wish. Click
on the column heading (Name, Nickname etc...) to sort further. You can add
or delete columns under View in the menu bar. Select Columns and make your
changes there.

A little background on how names are alphabetized. The Address Book displays
the names as FirstName LastName, but they are sorted in alphabetical order
by LAST name, not first name. Click on the Name column and you'll see for
yourself.

More info on sorting the Address Book can be found here:
