Sorting the Address book by First Name

How can I sort the Address book according to "First Name" rather than "Last
name"? Or If not possible, how can I then display the default list in the
form "Last Name, First Name" because I don't know who thought it would be
easy or efficient to sort by last name, but display first names first - but
it was certainly not someone who was thinking about ease of use.

Why is it that the in the detail view of the contact, there are separate
fields for the first and last names but in the contextual menu for column in
the main address book view, these are lumped in one Name field?

I hope there is a simple solution to this otherwise amazing application.

Many people are unhappy with the name sorting scheme. Hopefully, this will
be addressed in a future update.

A workaround would be to put the first name in the field for Nickname. Then
under View->Columns select Nickname. Drag this field to the desired location
by name for sorting.
