SP2 - ERROR WHEN PRINTING WEEKLY CALENDAR

I just installed MS Office for the Mac SP2 and encountered a very
interesting bug. When attempting to print the calendar in Weekly form,
the program crashes totally. Printing in Monthly or Daily form seems
to work fine. Any suggestions? I even reinstalled SP2, rebooted and
updated, and the problem is still there!

Glad to see it wasn't my iMac, but rather the SP2 Update. I never had
that problem before.
Hopefully MS will fix it.

Hi Jane,

I'm not sure what Ms. Harris wants exactly, but as there is no option in
System Profiler to send the report to anyone but Apple, I printed the report
as a PDF file and then emailed it to her.

Sure hope they fix this. It's an odd bug to have gotten through user
testing.

updated with SP2 a few days ago. That is why I came here and found your
post. I am running Jaguar on a PowerBook G4. This is a serious problem!
I need to print "weekly" calendars well... "weekly"!

I believe this problem with printing of the weekly calendar is not related
to SP2 so you should not attempt to remove it. A colleague of mine worked
on the problem and we believe that it is definitely related to the number of
events for the particular week that is being printed. We are able to print
a weekly view of a calendar week that has only a few events. However, a
week with a large number of events will cause Entourage to bomb. Sorry I
can't be more specific as to "how many" events is too many.

Another possibility that I have encountered with printing problems is a one
related to the calendar form that is chosen. Try a different form on the
Print dialog box. If Entourage bombs on selecting Print, select a week with
very few events and then try to print it. If the print dialog comes up,
remove the check on "Show Quick Preview". Cancel the print and go back to
the week you initially wanted to print. Switch the form to another choice
and try printing using it. Strangely the Quick Preview (if on) does not
seem to show any differences in the forms of the same dimensions?

We have a known issue in printing weekly view with all day events which go
beyond the week boundary. For example, if you have an all day event which
starts on Saturday and ends on Monday, you will see the problem.
Is this the same case?

PROBLEM SOLVED . . . The issue was, in fact SP2.

MS has posted an update on Mactopia as Ver. 11.2.1. It solved th
problem.

The problem is still alive and causing problems...I however experience
it in the "Calendar List" selection rather than the weekly view.

This is very annoying, since I use this heavily when I am getting ready
to send invoices to clients. This is causing me delays on getting my
October billings out!!!!

I already updated to 11.2.1.
