When I reply to a message, Entourage inserts 4 extra lines. That seems
excessive. Is there a setting I can use to change it?
When Entourage replies, by default, it quotes the entire document. It really
doesn't know if a line happens to be blank or not. If the sender has some
blank lines, Entourage inadvertently quotes it all. I don't know of any way
around this other than highlight the text you want quoted and then hit
reply.
For example, your message contained one blank line, and you can see it
quoted above, right below your last line of text.
To prove this, I highlighted all of your original message, by "select all"
and three lines were highlighted. You more than likely entered a hard return
after your last sentence.
