Spam causing Outlook 2K to disconnect without downloading

I'm having a very strange problem. I've been getting a new kind of spam in
the last couple days that causes Outlook to disconnect from my POP server.

I used to use Mailwasher as an anti-spam app, but have recently started
using Spam Inspector (a major improvement). But I have found Mailwasher
will download message headers when no other program will. When I can't
connect, the first thing I do is DL the headers using Mailwasher.

In Mailwasher, these particular messages have no sender, subject or date.
The body of the message is pure HTML (as far as I can tell) and what I can
read seems to be random language. For example:

He saves the dog and cares for it through the night. Finally
<br>Three-fourths of these deaths are children under the age of
five. This is probably because to him Phoebe isn't phony so he is
willing to accept criticism and rules from her.

When any of these messages comes in, it makes me unable to DL my legitimate
messages. I've run a trace on them and they all appear to be coming from
the same spammer (some F*** in Oregon). Any ideas to get around this? Is
this a DoS attack on our mailserver? Any help would be appreciated!
