Spell Check does not stay turned on

Hi all,

Hope you can help with something that has been driving me nuts. I have
a brand new MBP and just installed Office:Mac. In Entourage ->
Preferences -> Spelling, tick 'check spelling as you type', hit 'OK'.
Go back to Preferences -> Spelling and 'check spelling as you type' is
UN-ticked.

Can anyone shed any light on this?
