Spell checker does not work--also cannot get into tools/options

[Need Help Please]

I am using MS Office 2003, Everything's been working fine up till this
morning. I opened up an email, typed the message, click on send and spell
checker comes up "The spelling check was unsuccessful. Do you want to send
anyway". I am using WORD as my editor. So then I tried to recreate this
problem in word and when I hit F7 to spell check it just hangs. I then
uninstalled Office, rebooted and reinstalled again. Problem still exists. I
also tried going to Tools/Options and that hangs as well. anyone know of this
happening before?

Reinstalling Word rarely fixes anything as it is not the core program that's
at fault, but the user files, which a reinstall doesn't touch - see
