Anyone has a MacBook Pro yet? I just got one and excluded the ³Microsoft
User Data² folder via spotlight. However, I get the spinning wheel
constantly again. It¹s driving me crazy. Someone please help.

Thanks,
Julian

I had a number of end-users with the same problem. All running Entourage
2004 SP2 on Tiger or Panther, configured for Exchange using WebDAV. The
common link was each had 4000 or more items (messages, contacts, calendar
events) in their Exchange Inbox, Deleted Items, Sent Items, etc. By moving
messages to personal folders and deleting others, the spinning ball went
away at 2000 or less total items.

Your mileage may vary, but keeping the item counts at 2000 or less works
great for us.

Tim,

Thanks for this advice. My mileage is closer to 5000 items. However, I
realized what the problem was just after sending the note. I performed data
migration from my PowerBook to my MacBook Pro. For some reason Norton AV
does not copy ³preferences.² I went in to Norton and excluded the
³user/mydirectory/documents/microsoft user data² directory and everything
began to work as normal. I am still getting the wheel much less frequently
and I am sure it is the numbers of items in my inbox. I will fix that next.

Thanks again,

Jules
