SQL 2005 incompatibilities with ShapeStudio

I'm tring to get around this known issue with SQL 2005
incompatibilities. There appears to be many others with the same
issuehttp://groups.google.com/group/micr...soft.public.visio.developer&q=sql+2005&qt_g=1)

Has anyone recently figured out a way around this? For those die-hard
ShapeStudio developers, what are you using right now in lieu of SQL
2005?

Well, I ended up just installing MSDE 2000 and using that. It seems to
be working fine (and apparently can coexist with SQL 2005).
