SQL Guidance Seems Simple Cant Figure it out

Im having a little problems trying to make a sql statment to work. its
tossing me an error at the point where it says ([ItemCd] = " &
dmstemp!ItemCde & " OR [ItemCd] = 6758780)... However the full
statement is as follows:

allcriteria = "[CustNbr] = " & num & " AND ([ItemCd] = " &
dmstemp!ItemCde & " OR [ItemCd] = 6758780) AND [DCName] =
'MECHANICSVILLE';"

Keeping in mind also is that its the criteria to search a table with
dao so im using the findfirst. if anyone has any thoughts please let me
know. thankyou
