Hi,

Is there anyplace that I can find all the standard filed names used by
Project?
I have looked at the schema's and most other places and have not been able
to find them.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi LI_SpeedyG,

I don't know of one central place they are documented but if you search in
help on "fields" the listings for:

Assignment-timephased fields
Resource fields
Task fields
Resource-timephased fields
Task-timephased fields
Assignment fields

covers most of them. The links on custom fields, PERT analysis fields, and
Earned value fields contains information on those specific field types as
well.

You can also apply the Export Table to the task or resource sheet and get
some great help on specific fields by hovering your mouse over the column
heading and clicking the help hyperlink.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I have been trying to map DB output and the fieldnames have been a hangup.

Hi Speedy,

You're welcome and thanks for the feedback.

You may also want to look at the PROJDB.htm (Project 2002) or the PJDB.htm
(Project 2003) file for further details Project database information, if you
haven't already. They are usually found in the program files for Project.

Is it really called PJDB.htm in 2003? I thought the name remained the same.
If you could confirm I'd appreciate it.

Hi Jack,

The PJDB.htm file is the "Microsoft Office Project 2003 Data Reference"
document in my installation of MS Project Professional. There is no file
named PROJDB.htm. Odd, but true.

Thanks. I'll modify my responses in the future.
I'm wondering if I'll ever actually use Proj 2003...
More likely, I'll just wait for the next version.
