Starting a sound file (song) part way into the song

When I play an inserted sound file and try to start it
from a time partially through the song then the
presentation holds up on that slide unless I press the
space bar. If I start the song at the beginning then the
presentation keeps running as expected. Any idea how to
keep the presentation when I start the song part way into
the song?

You may have to edit the sound file in a sound editor, sorry. PPT's not
great with starting partway into a song.
