Staying on line in Outlook 2003

How does one ensure that the mail server connection is not
dropped after collecting mail in Outlook 2003?

In previous versions of Outlook one simply went to
Tools>Options>Mail Setup and unclicked the "Hang up when
finished" box.

I have searched for the equivalent tick box in Outlook 2003
but cannot find it, nor anything like it. Having spent a
good hour searching Microsoft's Office 'help' pages without
any success I am now throwing myself at this Group before
throwing the computer out of the window!!!

Help asap...

You need to provide your mail account type and connection type.
