stop the E from bouncing

Hi,
I am a new mac user. I cannot get the entourage E to stop bouncing every
few minutes. Can anyone help me?? I'm going nuts!

Preferences/Notifications: Animate Icon...

Uncheck that.

Still will bounce if you get an error messaage from your mail server.

Most of us hate it. There is no known cure.

Thanks Bill. I found that box already unchecked. So, it's trying to tell me
about a server error? There are no new emails when I go into entourage. It's
so strange.

AARRGGHH!

Are you serious that it can't be stopped?

I've tried everything...the preference you refer to seems to have
nothing to do with whether or not the icon bounces, plus it bounces
regardless of whether new mail has been received.
