Stop the email

I posted a support question this week, and now I am getting smothered by
spam email from Microsoft and Windows users. How do I make all this go away?
I have tried the spam filter in Entourage. It only catches the previous
users, not the hoards of new users.

Spammers are getting smart enough to change the (forged) addresses with
every new message. The only things you can do is to change your email
address (not to easy to do) or, at least, use a fake address when posting on
newsgroups (or any other public file). There are robots out there catching
addresses. So if you display a modified address, they can't find you:

As you are using Entourage, create a new account (from the "Tools" menu),
identical to your usual account, but modify the "E-mail address", using
something like "ed.perryATceoexpressDOTcom", or
"[email protected]" or, why not, "[email protected]"...

You'll certainly receive some more messages, but it should slowly decrease.
There's not much mor to be done, I think.

Yeah same here mate, getting about 25 a day, there all malicious, they
install a small app that says there is a problem with your email program and
try to get you to put your email info passwords etc, I tried one out on
Virtual PC, don¹t matter if that gets messed up.
Microsoft DO NOT email updates to people. And there's nothing you can do to
stop this as all the address do not take return emails, you'll just have to
get another email address and only post on this forum with with your old
email, that's what ive had to do.
