Stopping a process

Why is it so hard for developers to design software that can actually
respond to direct user input? Just now I sent an e-mail to my wife (no,
nothing to do with marital problems, I scanned a picture for her) and by
mistake, I used my Exchange account at home where I should have used the
..Mac account. So I try to open the mail in the outbox but it will not let me
access it because it is sending (this is fine) So I go to Windows->Progress
and press " stop all". No response! Why should it, it is sending and is so
busy doing that that it forgets to respond to me, its boss and owner. I feed
it nice power ad even have a Radtech thingy that goes between the screen and
the keys and I wash it every Saturday, handwash, 30 degrees Celcius) I hate
it when that happens. What if it were a car (yeah, I know, I should not use
this analogy but hey, it's the weekend) and I slammed the breaks, it would
be awkward if the gas process would continue and wait to finish before I
could apply the breaks, would it not?

I am only saying, can someone please program so that is responds to users
input, especially a cancel?

Did you try command - period? I have seen that work sometimes.

First, please keep in mind that these newsgroups are peer-to-peer. There
isn't much we can do. The best way is to send any feedback to Microsoft .

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications.

Thanks Diane,

Just sent feedback on both the printing font and the stop process and will
try the cmd period.

I am aware of the forum and the position of the MVP and others, I was just
sharing my point with you on programming and stopping processes in general,
hoping to obtain a tip like the one you gave me ;-)

You might really like the Entourage talk list. It's been having server
problems, but is going again. Lots of long time Entourage users there. Seems
to be more discussion than someone popping in for a quick answer to a
problem. You also get to hear from other Entourage users than just us MVPs.
:)

How to subscribe to the Microsoft Entourage talk list:

BTW, Jud Spencer is the List Mom. He's the original 'father' of Entourage.
