I’m trying to get narration on a slide to start up automatically, but give the viewer (students) the option to stop the narration by clicking on the speaker symbol, and then start it up again from the same spot by clicking on the speaker again
I’ve started the sound via the transition task pane, to avoid interfering with animations
Then used the sound action PAUSE (with a click sound) to stop and start up the narratio
using the speaker symbol as a trigger. This works fine, EXCEPT to stop the sound the first time it takes 2 clicks but only 1 click for repeated stopping and starting. (1 click the first time just starts the sound over from the beginning). I’ve tried several variants, usin
STOP and PLAY sound actions for example, but I can’t get this confusing inconsistency off the slide. I’m using PPT 2002 and will probably need to use the new PPtViewer to distribute the files on CD. Would upgrading to PPT 2003 help (I might have to anyway)
