Strange Actions by Entourage

Hi -

I have Entourage version 10.1.4. Will be upgrading to 10.1.5 this evening.
I have noticed some strange occurrences in the last couple of days. When I
am trying to Save update information in the address book it might randomly
delete the contact, but not necessarily. Yes - I have confirmed - I am
hitting the Save button and not the Delete button. Also - on the Summary of
an address - I can see all the Children's information, but when I go into
editing portion - only the first child is listed??

I find this occurrences to be a bit strange and was hoping for some advice.

Thanks you and have a Merry Christmas.

Strange behavior indeed. Well, did you repair permissions after updating?

If you did, and it doesn't (obviously) help, you should rebuild your
database. This means quit Entourage after having "Turned off Office
Notifications" from the "Entourage" Menu. Then re-lauch Entourage holding
the "Option" key down. You will be prompted: choose the typical rebuild.

Let's hope this will bring Entourage back to a more normal behavior :)

Well -

I backed up and rebuilt the database today. No issues so far. I hope that
took care of it.

By the way - how do you repair permissions?

Thank you and Merry Christmas

Repair Permissions would not have affected this issue. You had to rebuild
the database.

However, to answer your question, go to /Applications/Utilities/Disk
Utility/First Aid, and click Repair Disk Permissions.
