what settings do I have to change?

This is a real nuisance. Why is it happening?

That looks like spam E-mail to me. Chances are that it's originating in
a country foreign to you and the sender is using a different character
set or font than you have. Unless it's really important to you I
wouldn't bother trying to resolve this.

I'm using Entourage 2004 and recently had to reinstall my OS and all my apps. Some of my incoming messages have started to look like this:

I know that they are NOT SPAM. There might be a font problem, but if choose to reply, they show up fine in the reply window. I've changed the fonts in the prefs but it doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

With one of these messages selected, click on the Format menu, and check
Character Set. Try selecting different character sets, such as Western
European (Windows) or whatever else might seem appropriate to the sender,
and see if this makes a significant difference.

Do you know what country the messages are coming from? When you view them in
the reply, are they in English? What do they look like if you use the View
menu to view Source? (Send along a copy of the source if you have not
resolved the problem.)
