Strange characters instead of Å Ä Ö etc

Hi,
Im using Outlook 2000 SP-(9.0.0.6627)

And some received emails are characters replaces such as
å replaced to e
ä replaced to d
ö replaced to v

But when I open the same email in outlook express all is fine.

Why is Outlook 2000 replacing this messages?

How to avoid this ?
