Strike through and Table Issues

I

iThomasM

I've received two email messages from Outlook users in the past week
and Entourage 2008 has some odd behaviors.

First: When an Outlook 2003 user sent me a message, she used the
strike through to cross out some text. However, Entourage 2008
doesn't show the text crossed out. It just looks normal. Why is
this? Is it a feature or bug?

Second: An Outlook 2008 user copied some cells out of an Excel
document and put it into their email and I got a nicely formatted
table in my email. When I hit reply, Entourage removes all the table
formatting and I'm left with a list of text. Where did it go? Why
did it disappear?

It seems that Entourage isn't playing well with formatting from
Outlook. Are these bugs or features?

Thanks

Neither bugs nor features. Entourage is simply working as it was
designed to work.

Its HTML capabilities are limited. Strike-through is not one of its
supported text styles.

Also, Entourage can *display* complex HTML such as tables but it can not
*compose* messages with HTML. That's why when you reply the formatted is
gone.

Send feedback to Microsoft using Help --> Send Feedback in any Office
application to let them know you want to see HTML composition
capabilities in Entourage.

Hope this helps!

This information helps confirm my move away from Entourage 2008. It
seemed like a nice application, but is lacking features that I need to
do my job.
