stripping outgoing attachments

When I send messages with attachments, they seem to go into my sent mail
folder with the attachments still attached. In the interest of keeping my
database lean and mean, I'd like the attachments to get stripped of after
the message is sent. I seem to recall a script that would do this long ago
when I was using Outlook Express. But I haven't been able to find the
equivalent for Entourage. Can you point me to a solution? Thanks!

No need for a script - just use an outgoing rule to remove attachments.

That worked for me with Entourage X, but not so well with 2004. It
deletes the attachment from the Entourage database, but still uploads
it with my message to the IMAP server. Any known workarounds?
