STS and users

Hello.
There are a lot of inactive users showing up in the issue
assigned to and issue owner fields in the issues portion
of STS/PSWA (2002). How do I delete people from this list?
New employees are confused when they try to assign issues
becasue they have to scroll through this long list of
inactive users.

Tara --

Have you tried synchronizing the users on the project's subweb? To do so,
complete the following steps:

1. Log into PWA with Administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manage SharePoint Team Services link in the sidepane
4. Click the Manage subwebs link in the sidepane
5. Select the subweb name in the grid and then click the Synchronize Users
button

Dale,
I will try this. Another issue I have is that I cannot
create new subwebs. I haven't been able to do that since
August 2003. I have tried all the patches and the SP and
nothing has worked. Any insight?

Dale,
I tried this but it did not work. All the old users were
still in the drop down list on the issues even after
synchronizing users on the project.
Not sure where to go from here...
