Subfolders missing

Hello, 2 of our users are using Entourage 2004 in IMAP mode with email
hosted on Exchange. Since the email server was rebuilt one user cannot
get subfolders at all after the account was recreated at the client
end, and the other one can see the subfolders but they are greyed out.
Any ideas what the problem could be? Our Exchange contacts are not very
helpful as they see this as a Mac problem.

Scooby,

Have you tried setting up the account as an exchange account instead? Are
the folders accessible via OWA?

Regards,

Ben.

Yes, the folders are accessible in OWA and when I set it up as an
Exchange account it says that it is 'not connected' despite identical
settings.

Ok... So when you say you have set it up as an exchange account are you
using the front-end settings (https://mail.xxxx) or the back-end settings
(using the exchange servers DNS entry)?

Good question, Ben! I'm not sure what you mean, but it sounds like I
may be missing something here. I'm just putting in the IP address for
the server as both sending and receiving.

Try and configure an exchange account with the exchange server as your OWA
web address...

Hopefully you can get this working in Exchange mode, but barring that -
clicking on the account in your folder list should give you a complete list
of available folders with Subscribe/Unsubscribe buttons at the top. You
should see any missing folders there, grayed out. Click on them and click
Subscribe to add them to your folder list.

Thankyou both for your suggestions. Both worked but I ended up going
with IMAP because Exchange mode enabled the subfolders but all contents
disappeared from Inbox and Sent Items!

The Calendar event window has an icon that looks like a film strip in front
of a picture with the word "Insert" next to it. It appears to be grayed out
all the time.

Can it be used for anything?

Can a movie be attached to it so a reminder starts a short movie clip?
