Submission Form appears to work but doesn't write to database

Hi I am well and truly stuck !

In my first attempt at connecting to an Access database etc. everything
works fine except the submission form appears to work online, a
confirmation page is created, but nothing is written to the database.

So I created a new website and let FrontPage create the database and
forms through the nice wizard. Still no good.

I've tried the stuff suggested on the Microsoft knowledgebase but still
no better (mapping the fields etc).

I saw one solution which said the IUSR account in the database should
be changed to "modify". I don't seem to have an IUSR account?

Anyone got any ideas please?

It may or may not be a permissions issue.

If it is: What version of IIS are your running what Windows version on
the server? The user_machine name account needs write permissions for
the folder because it needs to write and delete temporary duels when it
acces the Access file; and change permissions to the Access file. If you
are using a host you will need to check with them for instructions.
