submit botton, form properties

B

Bjarne Rosenlykke

Frontpage 2000 Office XP Prof.:
When setting properties for the submit botton the "where
to store results" possibilities does not give access to
the boxes "send to database" or "browse", which mean I am
excluded to use theese facilities.
How can this problem bee solved so I can "send to
database" or a file of my own choise?

Will it be possible to make the submit botton send to a
default directory at the C:\ drive? - as the form will
not be used on-line, but as a page in a compiled HTML
Help Workshop file.

The software that saves form results is designed to run
within a Web server. It *won't* run if you load the forms
page from disk or from a Windows Help file.

I presume that under Tools, Page Options, Comaptability,
The Active Server Pages checkbox is cleared. That would
account for the Send To Database option being dimmed. But
changing that checkbox won't make ASP pages run from
within a Windows Help File.

I presume there's a way to start a Windows app from within
an HTML Help file, but I'm not aware of any details.
