Hi folks,
Some of my coworkers have lots of folders and subfolders in their IMAP accounts. For example, one has a folder called "projects" with a subfolder for each project, and a folder called "archived projects," again with a subfolder for each project. We have found that occasionally, if we move a project folder from "projects" to "archived projects," the folder and all of its contents disappear. We eventually figured out that the data was not deleted; rather, the user had become unsubscribed to the folder.
Although this is easy enough to correct when it happens, it still creates some panic for those who don't know what's happening. Does anyone know if this is a bug in Entourage, or does it occur with other IMAP clients as well? It's hard to test because it only happens because it only happens occasionally, and I've never been able to make the problem happen on demand.
By the way, we noticed the problem with Entourage 2004 as well, so if it is an Entourage bug, it has been carried into the new version.
Thanks,
-Arlo
